The TRUMPETS mystery
God commanded Israel to celebrate 7 "feasts" each year. The 5th Feast is the first of the 3 Fall Feasts. It is the only Feast commanded by God without a clear explaination. Why blow Trumpets? Why the first day of the 7th Month? Now at the End of the Age we can see more clearly God's purpose. This Feast is Key to the END of the STORY of this Age.
It is widely believed that the Jewish Feast of Trumpets has something to do with the Resurrection/Rapture of the Saints. I believe it will indeed likely be the day of the Rapture. The Rabbis call it the "Hidden Day" and the "Day of which no man knows the day or hour" - Exactly what Jesus said in Matthew 24:36 of His return. Was Jesus giving a divine clue? A trumpet signals His return. See Matthew 24:31, 1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Zechariah 9:14.
THE TIMING OF THE FEAST
Our western calendar is a strickly "solar" calendar. The Jewish calendar is a "solar/lunar" calendar. The Feast of Trumpets can not be pinned down to an exact starting moment because each Jewish day begins at sunset and each Jewish month begins with the sighting of the new moon. You had to be watching diligently or you would miss it. The window for sighting the New Moon is only minutes long. Each Jewish Day also began with the setting of the sun.

Jesus fulfilled the first 4 Feasts on their day 2000 years ago.
Will He not do the same for the last 3?
He fulfilled the 4 Spring feasts at His first coming. Each on its day.
He will finish up His plan at His return. Each on its day?
The Feast of Trumpets happens each September/October and is an extremely important event!
The Feast of Trumpets might have a two part fulfillment. The Rabbis not only refer to The Feast of Trumpets as the "Day which no man knows the day or the hour" but also as the "Day of the Awakening Blast".

The literal name in Hebrew for this Feast is Yom Teruah. Yom means 'day' and Teruah means a 'loud noise'. Biblically the word Teruah is used to refer to a trumpet blast as well as to a human shout. Here is the thought: Could the "Feast of the awakening blast or "shout" be the "Day of the Shout" of Revelation 5:13 as a precursor to the Rapture 6 years later? When Jesus is handed the Scroll all Creation will SHOUT and will be awakened as never before. Just as God has an exact timing for each event in history as seen in the 7 feasts, the Day of the Shout will doubtlessly fit in perfectly with the rest of His 7 year plan and purpose.
