The 7's of God's Plan

From Genesis to Revelation we find hundreds of 7’s. Why?

The Repeated use of 7 is meant to grab our attention

like a flashing light.

7 is the Biblical number of perfection and completion.

Ephesians 1:9-10 "... He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."

“Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him."

Daniel 2:20-22

Pattern is Prophesy: What we see just once most often passes by with little notice. See it again and again and we start to pay attention. Coincidence? No. There are no coincidences with God. Every word has purpose.

We can find a host of 7s that have deeper meanings and messages throughout the Bible. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The Hebrew word for 'week' is שבוע shavu'a or "seven".  These “weeks” or "7s" show the intricate handiwork of God's plan and the wonderful ways He unfolds His plan throughout history. Some of these 7s are obvious and some take a closer examination. See Pastor Chuck Missler for more. Each of these 7s call us to seek God and His plan for this world.

NOTE: Interestingily = Biblically, Jesus is the 77th Generation from Adam. see Luke 3:23-37 Why? God planned it. "In the fulness of Time God sent forth His son...." Galatians 4:4

(Click this link to see article by Pastor Chuck Missler for more intrig on the depths of the 7s in the Bible.)

God's "7s" give us both the "Big Picture" of God's plan and major details VITAL for us in the Last Days before the Rapture. Jesus teaches us to "...keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape (flee) all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)  The 7's comprise the "all these things" Jesus is referring to in both the Luke passage and in Matthew 24:33. Let the reader study and be ready to "STAND STRONG".  "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape (path forward/outcome), so that you can stand up under it."  1 Cor 10:13

The Charts below visualise 5 of God's "Weeks" unvailing His Plan of Redemption. Follow down each "Day" and note the common theme each day reveals in each chart.

The 7 Days of Creation

Each of the 7's, from Creation to the Revelation,

repeats a theme and a message for us.

Here is a short summary of each "days" theme:

Day One - God Creator, Author, Owner

Day Two - Air, War, Kingdom

Day Three - Provider, Food, Word

Day Four – Light holders, Authority

· Day Five – Flocks , Families, Breath - Spirit

· Day Six – Animals, Man, Woman, Separation

Day Seven - God Rests  Completion, Presence of God with us at Rest

Look at each Chart's 'days' and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and His message and plans for us. Check out the Seven Seals for God's End of the Age Applications for each 'day'. The Postcards to the 7 Churches remind us WHO Christ is for us. HE is the way of 'escape' as we trust in Him.

Pray the 7 parts of The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Note how each part contains and applies the Theme for each Seal.

1 Peter 1:3  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable... "

1 John 5:19-21  "We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.  And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts."

Matthew 6:31-33   "Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ...your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you."  Philippians 4:11-13  "I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. I am accustomed to any and every situation—to being filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Ephesians 4:32  "...forgive each other, just as, in Christ, God forgave you."      Romans 12:19,21  "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it."

Revelation 12:11 " And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death."

1 Thessalonians 4:16,17  "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. "

Revelation 21:3 "And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them."

There are other 7's that could be included in this list.

It should be noted as well that not every 7 of the Bible will carry these 'daily' themes. But every 7 does have at least a hint at the idea of Completion or Perfection if not a direct declaration of that message.

Moses Climbs Mount Sinai 7 times (the 7 day themes continue)

Moses born a Jew, favored son, rescued from death, raised in a palace, kills an Egyptian, exiled, 80 yrs old, burning bush, down to Egypt, 10 plaques, God in Pillar of Cloud and Fire, Red sea crossing, water in the desert, Manna & Meat in dessert, then...

Mount Sinai—7 times up and down the Mountain -

From Time into Eternal Life, from servant to friend of God.

I encourage you to open your Bible and Read the fuller story. Here is a short outline.

1st Ascent: It is all about GOD first of all

Exodus 19:3  Moses went up to God…  If you obey… I will be your God… you shall be to me a Kingdom of priests, a holy nation   v.7 so Moses came to the elders... set the words of the Lord  before them.

2nd Ascent: It is all about division/sanctification separated out for Him.

Ex 19:8b  Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.… go consecrate them (to Me)… set boundaries…  holy place… Holy God.  vs14  Moses went down from mountain…

3rd Ascent: It is all about the Word of God.  Bread of Life.

Ex.19:20 Morning of the 3rd day, the Lord called Moses up, sends him straight down to warn the people. V25 so Moses went down to the people and told them.  (Ch 20 God booms out the 10 Commandments)

Pause:  At this time Moses “approached the thick cloud 20:21, but does not go up to God. God gives further instructions before the people standing at a distance. Chps 21-23   Deuteronomy 5:5  I was standing between you and the Lord... you were afraid to and did not go up to the mountain.

While standing at the base, God instructs Moses to “Come up … 24:1” with 70 elders.

4th Ascent: It is all about Authority in the presence of the LIGHT.

Ex 24:9  Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and 70 elders …. They saw God, ate/drank

5th Climb: It is all God dwelling with them. God lays out plans for His Holy Tent of Meeting. Covenant is formed creating them as His people.

Ex 24:12ff  “Wait here until we return…” v.16 ...on the 7th day God called to Moses… on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”  Ex 32:15 Moses went down from the Mountain with the two tablets... smashes 10 commandment tablets.

6th Ascent: It is all about Man entering the presence of God

Ex 32:30  I am going up to the Lord … But now if You will, forgive their sin… v.34 Lead the people up… My Angel will go before you…”

Moses respectfully "banters" with God as God calls the people 'Moses people' but Moses says "No way" these are Your people You brought up....

Pause:  Moses makes an important request. Ex 33:13 “...let me know Your ways that I may know You.”  14. “I will give you rest.”  18. “Show me Your Glory.” God's response is really God's goal for us all. “I will make My goodness pass before you.”   Hint:  Moses finally understands God's Heart. It is all about a Relationship with God. Knowing Him.

7th Ascent: It is all about God's Goal from before the foundation of the world. God dwelling with man. Rest.

Ex 34:4  “Moses rose up early and went up…” 28. forty days and nights.  29. when Moses was coming down … the skin of his face shone ...

What made the difference? Moses went from being a messenger, to tour group leader, to worshipper and finally to "Friend of God".

Exodus 33:11

God finally got into Moses as Moses finally gets into God.
