The 7's of God's Plan
From Genesis to Revelation we find hundreds of 7’s. Why?
The Repeated use of 7 is meant to grab our attention
like a flashing light.
7 is the Biblical number of perfection and completion.
Ephesians 1:9-10 "... He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."
“Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him."
Daniel 2:20-22
Pattern is Prophesy: What we see just once most often passes by with little notice. See it again and again and we start to pay attention. Coincidence? No. There are no coincidences with God. Every word has purpose.
We can find a host of 7s that have deeper meanings and messages throughout the Bible. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The Hebrew word for 'week' is שבוע shavu'a or "seven". These “weeks” or "7s" show the intricate handiwork of God's plan and the wonderful ways He unfolds His plan throughout history. Some of these 7s are obvious and some take a closer examination. See Pastor Chuck Missler for more. Each of these 7s call us to seek God and His plan for this world.
NOTE: Interestingily = Biblically, Jesus is the 77th Generation from Adam. see Luke 3:23-37 Why? God planned it. "In the fulness of Time God sent forth His son...." Galatians 4:4
God's "7s" give us both the "Big Picture" of God's plan and major details VITAL for us in the Last Days before the Rapture. Jesus teaches us to "...keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape (flee) all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36) The 7's comprise the "all these things" Jesus is referring to in both the Luke passage and in Matthew 24:33. Let the reader study and be ready to "STAND STRONG". "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape (path forward/outcome), so that you can stand up under it." 1 Cor 10:13
The Charts below visualise 5 of God's "Weeks" unvailing His Plan of Redemption. Follow down each "Day" and note the common theme each day reveals in each chart.
The 7 Days of Creation
Each of the 7's, from Creation to the Revelation,
repeats a theme and a message for us.
Here is a short summary of each "days" theme:
Day One - God Creator, Author, Owner
Creation Day 1: GOD is Creator and Lord over all, separating light from darkness. Worship the Light of the world, who is Lord of all. John 1:1-5 "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... Through Him all things were made... In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." 1 John 4:16 "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." (see also Dan 2:22, 1 John 1:5-6)
Church 1 Ephesus: A church who had lost their first love. Jesus must be your First Love! Mark 12:30,31 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Matthew 24:12,13 "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved." Mark 13:19-20 "For those will be days of tribulation unmatched from the beginning of God’s creation until now, and never to be seen again. If the Lord had not cut short those days, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom He has chosen, He has cut them short."
Seal 1 Antichrist: Satan is the deceiver and will claim to be God (in Antichrist) but don't be fooled. Acts 26:17-18 "I am sending you to them to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those set apart by faith in Me." 2 Cor 11:14-15 "...Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness." Rev 13:3-5,7-8 During the final 3 and 1/2 years of this Age "...the whole world marveled and followed the beast (Antichrist). They worshiped the dragon (Satan) who had given authority to the beast...The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months.
Millennia 1 God as First and Last God’s work in this first thousand years lays the foundation for the entire ‘week’ of this worlds histor.God is omnipotent Creator of all. God sacrifices first animals, uses skins to cover Adam n Eve. God promises Eve that her seed would crush /kill the tempter, considered the first Gospel. Enoch is the 7th generation from Adam and is “raptured” without seeing death, a hint of the End. The 7 days of creation establish a daily pattern that will carry through to the ‘end’. The 1st Ten Generations following Noah’s line spell out the Gospel in the meaning of the 10 names.
Prayer 1 Our Father in Heaven… God is First and over all. 1 John 2:14,17 "...you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever." John 14:25 "Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." 1 Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable... "
Day Two - Air, War, Kingdom
Creation day 2 GOD creates air and divides the waters above and below; two warring kingdoms, above and below. Air is now the in between battle ground. Only day He does not declare anything “good”. A whole day just to create ’air’.
Church 2 Smyrna Jesus our Warrior, killed death with His death and resurrection. Believers are called to be Faithful in the fight even unto death. Rev 12:11-12 They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea; with great fury the devil has come down to you, knowing he has only a short time.” (This could likely be at the 3 and 1/2 year mark of the final 7 years)
Seal 2 Wars both physical and Spiritual take peace from the earth. Ephesians 6:10-12 "Because your fight has not been with flesh and blood, but with Principalities and The Rulers and The Powers of this dark world and with wicked spirits which are in the heavenly realms (air)." Ephesians 2:1-6 "And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, (Satan) the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus..."
Millennia 2 God goes to war against evil bringing “Noah’s” flood upon the earth. 2 Peter 2:5 “(God) did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly” God scatters mankind away from their attempt at a unified rebellion at the “Tower of Babel” Genesis 11:6 “And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. “
Prayer 2 Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done… Luke 10:18-20 “And He (Jesus) said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
Day Three - Provider, Food, Word
Creation day 3 GOD creates land and plants for food; All we have or will ever need comes from God. James 1:17, ESV Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Mark 6:41,42 "Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke the loaves. Then He gave them to His disciples to set before the people. And He divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied"
Church 3 Pergamum warned away from idols or any other alternate source of daily manna. Matt 4:4. "But Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Hebrews13:5,6 "...be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”… (see also Deut 8:3; 1Kings 17:1-16; Phil 4:12,13; Rev 2:17;)
Seal 3 Famine / hyper inflation will challenge believers to trust God alone for their needs. Deuteronomy 8:3 “He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” Matthew 25:37- 40 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ….The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me..”
Millennia 3 God calls Abraham to come and inherit LAND of Milk and Honey. He promises each generation after that this land is theirs. Half way through this 3rd millennium God calls Moses to lead His people out of bondage in Egypt and into the promised land. Heavenly Bread supplies them on their journey. When they follow and obey God they gain land and every provision. When they rebel they loss land and are expelled from the land and lack provision.
Prayer 3 Give us this day our daily bread… Matt 6:30-33 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Day Four – Light holders, Authority
Creation Day 4 GOD creates the Sun, Moon and Stars- Light bearers to rule the day and night and for signs and seasons; Genesis 1:14,18,19 "And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
Church 4 Thyatira Like the sun and moon, believers are Light bearers because Christ lives in us and gives us His authority under Christ to rule over the earth. We must never yield that authority to any. Matt 28:18-20 "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Seal 4 Death, given authority to kill multitudes. John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." Phil 2:14-16 "Do everything without complaining or arguing...children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world as you hold forth the word of life, in order that I may boast on the day of Christ..." Matt 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Luke 10:19 "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you." (see also Titus 2:15; 1 Cor 6:2-3; Matt 4:16-17; Isa 40:10-11)
Millennia 4 Authority God uses this forth millennium to establish David as King. David is promised that his ‘Son’ (Jesus) would sit on the Throne of David forever. This millennium end with the coming of the “Son of David” as the true King coming into the world. 2 Samuel 7:16 “Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’” John 19:11 Jesus answered (Pilate), “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
Prayer 4 - Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors… 1 Peter 2:12 “Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
· Day Five – Flocks , Families, Breath - Spirit
Creation day 5: GOD creates the birds and fish and commands them to multiply, fill the earth- flocks and schools. First Air Breathing Life made on day 5. First order for His Creation to "multiply" and "fill" the earth and sea. Psalm 68:5-6 "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in His holy habitation. God settles the lonely in families..."
Church 5 Smyrna: Indispensable need to be born of the Holy Spirit and be part of the family of God. Ephesians 4:1-6 “ I...urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
Seal 5 Martyrs: gathered to God. Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles... Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 10:25 "Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (see also Heb 3:13,10:32-39) Rev 13:7-8 "Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation...all whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life, belonging to the Lamb who was slain."
Millennia 5 God births the Church. God now begins to gather into One Family people from every Tribe and Kindred, People and Tongue. Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you..." Ephesians 4:4-6 "There is one Body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all."
Prayer Part 5 Lead us not into temptation… 1 John 2:19-22 “They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist…”
· Day Six – Animals, Man, Woman, Separation
Creation Day 6: GOD creates land animals, Man and Woman Man is created in the God's image to be united as one, They are to multiply and rule over the earth. Gen 1:26-28 "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule...over all the earth....' So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it..." United as one (Matt 19:4-6) as a picture of Christ and the Church (Eph 5:31,32; Rev 19:7; Isa 54:5). Man stands out SEPERATE from the rest of God's creation.
Church 6 Philadelphia: A church that had been ‘shut out’ by the city of 'Brotherly Love'. Jesus promised to open a door for them that none could shut. Romans 8:38 “ I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We are now seperated from the Kingdom of this world and are of the KINGDOM OF GOD.
Seal 6 Rapture: The terms of birthing (birth pains leading up to great squeezing/tribulation) are used by Jesus in Matthew 24 to describe the events leading up to our deliverance / Separation at the end of the age. Matthew 24:31 "And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other." 1 Cor 15:51,52 "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep (die), but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed." (Isaiah 26:19-21, Daniel 12:13,1 Thessalonians 4:16-17,5:9; Matthew 24:30-32) The Rapture occurs just before God's wrath falls on this world. Revelations 6:16-17 "And they say to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” (Col 3:6, Rom 2:5, Isa 13:8-10)
Millennia 6 Our current Millennium. We are right up against the END of 6000 years of this world. The unity of Millennia 5 gave way to a seperating out of True Believers from false. From the "Great Scism" to the "Reformation" we see a continous splitting of the Church. The ultimate "splitting" will occure with the Rapture of the Church out of the world. With True Believers gone God will pour out His Wrath on all who have rejected His Grace. 1 Corinthians 11:19 " For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become [evident among you." 1 Corinthians 5:11 "But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat."
Prayer Part 6 and deliver us from evil Psalm 40:1-3 “I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God…”
Day Seven - God Rests Completion, Presence of God with us at Rest
Creation Day 7: Genesis 2:3 "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.” God completes His work of creation. He sums it up by saying it is “Very Good”. Newly created Adam and Eve spend their first full day of life resting with God.
Church 7 Laodicea: A church that has lost site of God’s ultimate goal for His children, that we arrive at The Feast and sit down to reign with Him. Revelations 11:15,17 "The seventh angel sounded his trumpet... “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever. “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was..." Rev 7:17 "For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd. ‘He will lead them to springs of living water,’ and ‘God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ ”
Seal 7: Wrath to the wicked. Rest for the rest. Rev 14:11 "Day and night there is no rest for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” Rev 16:17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Rev 19:20 "Both the beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur." Rev 20:1-3 "an angel...seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete." Isa 11:10 "On that day the Root of Jesse (Jesus) will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek Him, and His place of rest will be glorious. Isa 65:17-18 "For behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create..." (Psalm 46, Isaiah 11:1-11; 65:16-25)
Millennia 7 will begin with the Return of Jesus Christ as He removes all wickedness from the earth. Paradise will be restored as Jesus takes up His Throne in a renewed Jerusalem. The Devil (and all demons) will be cast down into the pit of hell. We will be given REST from all the trials and tribulations we now suffer in this current rebellious world. For further study I found this site a good overview of the Millenium: NEVER THIRSTY
Prayer Part 7: "For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory for EVER." Hebrews 4:1-3 "God’s promise of entering his rest still stands... For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us...only we who believe can enter his rest." Matthew 11:28-29 "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast." (Isaiah 28:12; Titus 3:4-6)
Look at each Chart's 'days' and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and His message and plans for us. Check out the Seven Seals for God's End of the Age Applications for each 'day'. The Postcards to the 7 Churches remind us WHO Christ is for us. HE is the way of 'escape' as we trust in Him.
Pray the 7 parts of The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Note how each part contains and applies the Theme for each Seal.
Perfect God vs Wicked Antichrist "Our Father who art in heaven, holy is your name."
1 Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable... "
War: Two Kingdoms- Jesus, the King of kings vs Satan "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
1 John 5:19-21 "We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts."
Famine: "Give us this day our daily bread"
Matthew 6:31-33 "Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ...your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." Philippians 4:11-13 "I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. I am accustomed to any and every situation—to being filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
Death: Take the mark in allegiance to Satan or die. Wickedness will abound! "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."
Ephesians 4:32 "...forgive each other, just as, in Christ, God forgave you." Romans 12:19,21 "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Martyrs: The temptation to deny Christ will be strong "Lead us not into temptation"
1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has seized you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it."
Revelation 12:11 " And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death."
Rapture: Christ shall descend and gather every believer past and present to himself! "Deliver us from evil" Revelation 7:9-10 "After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”
Forever with the Lord! "For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. "
Revelation 21:3 "And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them."
There are other 7's that could be included in this list.
Moses climbs Mount Sinai 7 times, Each trip lines up with each days theme. See Below for details
Israel is given 7 "Feasts" of the Lord to celebrate each year. Passover, feast 1, is all about The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the World. The cycle ends with Tabernacles which is Feast 7- all about God dwelling with Us.

The Super Shemitah every 50th year or 7x7 Shemitah's +1 called the Jubilee. (Leviticus 25:8ff)
It should be noted as well that not every 7 of the Bible will carry these 'daily' themes. But every 7 does have at least a hint at the idea of Completion or Perfection if not a direct declaration of that message.
Moses Climbs Mount Sinai 7 times (the 7 day themes continue)
Moses born a Jew, favored son, rescued from death, raised in a palace, kills an Egyptian, exiled, 80 yrs old, burning bush, down to Egypt, 10 plaques, God in Pillar of Cloud and Fire, Red sea crossing, water in the desert, Manna & Meat in dessert, then...

Pause: At this time Moses “approached the thick cloud 20:21, but does not go up to God. God gives further instructions before the people standing at a distance. Chps 21-23 Deuteronomy 5:5 I was standing between you and the Lord... you were afraid to and did not go up to the mountain.
While standing at the base, God instructs Moses to “Come up … 24:1” with 70 elders.

Ex 24:9 Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and 70 elders …. They saw God, ate/drank
5th Climb: It is all God dwelling with them. God lays out plans for His Holy Tent of Meeting. Covenant is formed creating them as His people.
Ex 24:12ff “Wait here until we return…” v.16 ...on the 7th day God called to Moses… on the mountain forty days and forty nights.” Ex 32:15 Moses went down from the Mountain with the two tablets... smashes 10 commandment tablets.
6th Ascent: It is all about Man entering the presence of God
Ex 32:30 I am going up to the Lord … But now if You will, forgive their sin… v.34 Lead the people up… My Angel will go before you…”
Moses respectfully "banters" with God as God calls the people 'Moses people' but Moses says "No way" these are Your people You brought up....
Pause: Moses makes an important request. Ex 33:13 “...let me know Your ways that I may know You.” 14. “I will give you rest.” 18. “Show me Your Glory.” God's response is really God's goal for us all. “I will make My goodness pass before you.” Hint: Moses finally understands God's Heart. It is all about a Relationship with God. Knowing Him.
7th Ascent: It is all about God's Goal from before the foundation of the world. God dwelling with man. Rest.
Ex 34:4 “Moses rose up early and went up…” 28. forty days and nights. 29. when Moses was coming down … the skin of his face shone ...
What made the difference? Moses went from being a messenger, to tour group leader, to worshipper and finally to "Friend of God".
Exodus 33:11
God finally got into Moses as Moses finally gets into God.
