SEAL 7 Challenge:  Entering into His Rest Day - 7  Resting with God

The seventh Seal—The end of Our Work and Beginning of God's Wrath

Revelation 8:1-8     "When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense ascended from the angel’s hand with the prayers of the saints before God. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar, and hurled it to the earth; and there were peals of thunder and sounds, and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them."

Sign 7  In Matthew 24 Jesus does not give a seventh sign. Why? Because He has ended His instructions to the Church with the Rapture. After that we need no more signs. We will be there with the Lord. Hallelujah!

Day 7   Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.  By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Genesis 2:1-3

Seal 7 -Silence in Heaven, Sign 7 - none given because we are out-a-here, Day 7 -REST

God has set the PATERN from the beginning of Creation.   Each of the 7 days of creation presents a “Theme” and a clue to God's End of the Age path. We see this “theme” repeated in the 7 Seals and in a number of the  other “7”s in the Bible. See THE 7s of GOD'S PLAN for more.

Revelation starts with 7 letters to 7 churches. These 7 letters also keep the “themes” and are the Believers instructions for “overcoming” each of the seal challenges of the End Times.

Church 7  Revelation 3:14-22 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

Day 7  is all about arriving at the Feast and sitting at the Table in God's Kingdom. The 6’s are all done now. The 7th Seal does not seem to serve any purpose except to introduce the 7 Trumpet Judgments. Just as the 7th Day of Creation and the 7th day of each week serve as a break or rest, the 7th seal brings the Faithful to a time of REST with their Savior Jesus Christ. It should be noted that with the ending of this last ’Week’ (Daniel's 70th Week) the World will enter into it 7th Millennium. Revelation 20 tells us that this 7th ’day’ will be 1000 years of Peace, Joy and Wonder as God rules over a renewed planet now freed of all evil and devils. Isaiah 11:10  " In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious."   This was God’s heart and desire for us from the foundation of the world. God foreshadowed this ending in many 7's and in many ways throughout Scripture. What was in the beginning finally comes to fulfillment. One can almost say that each of the Bible's 7's from Genesis to Revelation beats with God's Heart for us and His desire for this day.

God with us, dwelling together forever more. Hallelujah What a Savior.

How can you be Ready to meet the King?

Answer : Don’t settle for anything less then God’s Best

Laodicea had settled into being “good”. They began to judge themselves by their own worldly standards. They stopped looking to God's Grand goal and design for them. They forgot Day 7. They said that they had “need of nothing”. When we cease seeking God’s will and best for us we become blind to our true spiritual state of being. We stop sensing our own weakness and our need for His power and purpose for our daily life. They were content with the "Here and Now". They forgot Gods Big Picture for them. They were lukewarm. No longer hot and healing or cool and refreshing, they made Jesus sick to His stomach. Jesus’ goal and desire for us is nothing less then Powerfully Perfected Saints sitting down to a meal with Him in the Kingdom (The Marriage Supper of the Lamb?) and ruling with Him during the Millennium. See Luke 12:36-38

How can we be ready? Repent of the sin of “settling” for good enough. Ask God to give you His Standards and Values. Ask God to cloth you in His righteousness and Life. Ask God to give you a vision of “That Day” when we will walk with Him in the Kingdom.  And ask Him to make you Zealous for His Kingdom and His Name.

People get ready, it is almost Supper time and Jesus is serving.

Pray the 7 parts of the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Note how each part contains and applies the Theme for each Seal.

7. "For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen."    Forever with the Lord!             1 Thessalonians 4:16,17  "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. "

Heavenly Father, We can hardly wait till You come in the clouds to call us home to You. Your vision and plans for us are far loftier and more wonderful then we could ever imagine. We choose to set our hearts and desires upon You and what You have in store for those who love You. Keep us from the error of Laodicea. We open the "door" of our Heart to You. Please enter in that we may know the Feast of the Lord and the Lord of the Feast.

Each Millenia Holds to the Themes of each "Day"

The 7th Millennium - Completion and Rest / Joy

"I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by Your side." This song by Bart Millard reflects the heart and living hope of every true follower of Jesus. And that hope originated with the One who died for all men, Jesus. He is the Creator of the world. He is the designer of the 7's. He is the One we need in every 'days' challenge. See Each Day for the details. For God so loved YOU that He planned all this from before the foundation of the world. His Heart and His Purpose are Summed up in each of the 7's. On Day 7 of the Creation week He rested and the first couples first "work" was to enjoy that REST with Him. The 7th Feast of the Lord is Tabernacles. This 7 day long feast celebrates God dwelling with man. The 7th Millennium is just about to start. We are at the End of Millennium #6. Revelation 20 speaks of that last 1000 years as a time when Satan is bond and cast into a bottomless pit. Jesus will rule on the earth and man will dwell with God. At last the earth and all on it will know the REST of the Lord.

So, "Be alert and think straight. Put all your hope in how God will treat you with undeserved grace when Jesus Christ appears."  1 Peter 1:13 CEV
