DAY 16 STUDY
RAPTURE!!
We have liftoff! REV 7:9, 13,14 “After this (the 144,000 Israelites sealed as God’s) I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation…”
DAN 12:13 Daniel "...go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance."
ISAIAH 26:19 “But your dead will live, LORD; their bodies will rise— let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy— your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.”
1 THES 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the sky…”
The rapture/gathering takes place at the e_____, when we r_____ up into heaven with new bodies, to be with Jesus. This includes Old Testament believers. (See Job 19:25-27; Mark 12:26,27; Isa 26:19-21; Eph 4:8-10; Heb 11:13-16,39; Gal 3:28,29; Eph 4:8-10; 1 Thes 4:16-18; 1 Peter 4:6)
Study all the verses that describe what will take place for us (the elect)
as we’re gathered to Jesus when He comes again, at the last day:
1 THES 4:15-18 "According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words."
2 COR 15:51-58 “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep (die), but we will all be changed-- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. ... then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
JOB 19:25-27 “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And, after I awake, though this body has been destroyed, then in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!”
1 JOHN 3:2 "But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."
1 COR 15:42-44,49 “So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; ...it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body...we shall bear the image of the heavenly man (Jesus).”
JOHN 11:24 Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
1 PETER 1:3,4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
LUKE 14:13,14 “But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
REVELATION 7:17 “The Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
1 THES 5:9 “For God did not appoint us (believers) to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

DAY 17 STUDY
The Day and the Hour
1. Should the Day of the Lord surprise us who know the truth? _____
1 THES 5:4,6 “But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief... So then, let us be alert and self-controlled.”
2. We’ll know the season of his coming, but will we know the day or the hour? Yes / No
MATT 24:32 "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (His appearing) is near, right at the door. 36"No one knows that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” We know the Antichrist is revealed in the middle of the last 7 years but the final 3 ½ years is “cut short” by Christ’s second coming and our rapture, sometime before the final year, so we will not know the exact day or hour, only the ‘season’.
3. Will the world understand when God’s wrath is about to begin? ___ Will it be a secret, silent rapture? ____
REV 6:12,15-17 “I watched as he (the Lamb) opened the sixth seal....every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains... hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come..."
What happens after the Church is taken up to heaven?
Silence followed by Judgment
SEAL 7 and Revelation 8:1ff
“When he opened the seventh seal,
there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets... The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, all the green grass was burned up.”
1. What do we see in the following prophecies as the judgment of God is about to come? S________
ZEPH 1:7,14-16 “Be silent before the Sovereign LORD, for the day of the LORD is near, near and coming quickly. The cry on the day of the Lord is bitter; the Mighty Warrior shouts his battle cry. That day will be a day of wrath— a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness—a day of trumpet and battle cry.”
ZECH 2:10,13 "Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declared the Lord. Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling."
HAB 2:2 “Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. 4“Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.14For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD.16 The cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory. 19 Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Come to life!’ 20 But the LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.”
2. What two accounts does Jesus use that show that judgment comes immediately after the removal of the righteous? N______ and L_______
LUKE 17: 26-30 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”
3. Will the world repent? _____ The Bible says that mankind will be scarcer than gold. Only a remnant of the nations will remain. The wrath of God is poured out on evil and those who have loved it.
REV 9:13,20-21;16:9-11,21 "The sixth angel sounded his trumpet...The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and ...idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts." "They cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men ... cursed the God of heaven because of their pains … but they refused to repent of what they had done.”
4. The 7th Trumpet unleashes the final 7 Bowl Judgments poured out on the Beast. Underline what will happen to Satan and his unholy minions:
DAN 7:7,9,25,11 “...in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire." REV 12:9 “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. DAN 13:2 The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. DAN 16:12-14 The sixth angel poured out his bowl... Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet ...which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war…” DAN 19:19.20 “Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake....” DAN 14:7 “These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful." (Jude 1:14-25) DAN 7:21,22 “...this horn (ruler) was waging war against the saints and defeating them, until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom. DAN 7:11 “As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire." 2 THES 2:8 "... the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.” REV 16:17 "The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” REV 20:1-3, 7-10 "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
DAY 18 STUDY
Jesus will renew the earth and reign a _________ years.
ROM 8:18-23 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.
DAN 7:13-14 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."
MICAH 5:4 “He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.”
ISA 11:6 “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.” 19:21,25 “So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD... The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”
1 Peter 2:9-10: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
REV 20: 5-10 “This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Then He will make all things new for Eternity!
“The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.”
2 PETER 3:10, 13
“For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes. “Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create…”
ISA 65:16-18
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”
REV 21:1,4

DAY 19 STUDY
In-Depth Study of The Coming of the Lord
To clarify any confusion regarding the “Second Coming of the Lord”
and what it entails, let’s read some verses that sum up this important event.
NOTE: Fill in the blanks to help cement the facts in your heart and mind.
1. There will be SIGNS that precede His coming
Jesus speaking to his disciples/Christ followers: MATT 24:7 and following “…when will these *things happen and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come...There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me (today, Christians, not Jews, are hated for Jesus’ name) …. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. “So when you (Christ followers) see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel (Antichrist 2 Thes 2:4; Daniel 7:19-27)—let the reader understand—... then there will be great distress (Great Tribulation), unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again...for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened (literally: decapitated). Immediately after the distress (Great Tribulation) of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky and all the nations of the earth will mourn and they see the Son of Man *coming [(ἔρχομαι) “arriving” used also in John 14:2,3 “My Father’s house has many rooms (Isa 26:19-21)...And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will *come back and take you to be with me…” Biblehub] on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other (rapture)… when you (Christ followers) see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.” 1 THES 5:4.8 “But brothers, you are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. “ (Rev 3:3)
A. We are to k_______ when his coming is near and not be caught unaware.
B. From the verses above, name at least 6 things that will take place before Jesus returns to take us home: _____, _____, _____, _____, _____, _____
*Matt 24:2 Around 70 AD many Jews were massacred, the temple was torn down and Jerusalem left in ruins. However, Jesus’ words speak of yet another event, a worldwide distress, unlike anything we have ever seen. The 7 Seals in Revelation (written in 90 AD after Jerusalem’s fall) prophecy of these same events, but on a worldwide scale. Jesus was speaking of a time after 70 AD, a time when the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem and declare himself to be God. This will involve the whole earth at the end of the age. LUKE 21: 23ff ” There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
2. His Coming is Visible to All, Accompanied by Trumpet Blast & Shout
REV 1:7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.” MATT 24:27,30,31 “For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man... all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” 1 THESS 4:14.16,17 “We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” (the living spirits of deceased believers: Heb 12:22-23). For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first (dead bodies raised up immortal and new and reunited with their living spirits). After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.” 1 COR 15:51-52 “... we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet…” ACTS 1:9-11 “... he was taken up before their very eyes...“This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” 1 PETER 1:13-14 “Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is *revealed.” 1 Peter 1:7, 2 Thess 1:7 *(apokalypsei) appearing, coming Biblehub
A. Who will see Jesus coming to gather believers to himself (rapture)?
ALL the p_______ of the earth.
B. What will be heard? T_______ blast and a l______ command!
C. Will the rapture be silent and secret? _____
